The Honorable Representative Donna Christensen from the United States Virgin Islands has been invited to participate by telephone. SEPTEMBER 11 -- A LOOK BACK
Jere Longman's book "Among the Heroes" personofies all of the passengers aboard the ill-fated United Flight 93. Among them was Colleen Fraser, The Progressive Center for Independent Living, Inc. (PCIL) in Ewing, N.J. Greg will read a portion of the book that introduces the nation to Coleen and talk to people who knew her.

POWER WHEELCHAIR RECALL
An article in the Cleveland Plain Dealer on September 1 reports that Invacare Corporation settled a lawsuit last month for more than $7 million after defective wiring on one of its wheelchairs sparked and caught fire, badly burning a 65-year-old quadriplegic woman. Other lawsuits have been filed in recent years, including two cases in which people were killed. The article questions Invacare's handling of the situation and the nature in which the company promoted the recall. Did you know that Invacare has recalled all powered wheelchairs made from 1985 to 2000? You can read the newspaper article at http://cleveland.com/business/plaindealer/index.ssf?/xml/story.ssf/html_standard.xsl?/base/business/1030872676100890.xml and Invacare's response at http://www.invacare.com/cgi- bin/imhqprd/inv_news/newsArticleOnly.jsp?BV_SessionID=@@@@0936366965.1031337615@@@@&BV_EngineID=cccgadcgdhgiklfcflgcefmdffgdfhn.0&passedChildOID=536966471&from=Home
