ADAPT's 20th Anniversary

Dear Friends of ADAPT:

From Sept 4 to Sept 17, 2003, hundreds of disabled people will roll and
march from the Liberty Bell in Phila., Pa to Washington DC -144 miles to
highlight the urgency to enact MICASSA and to give persons a "Real Choice"
to live in their own homes.
Join us in DC on September 17, 2003 - Free Our People Rally
It's also ADAPT's 20th Anniversary!
Remember the day we shut down Pennsylvania Ave during rush hour?
Or when we blocked the San Francisco cable cars?
How about the streets of Montreal?
The Federal Building in Atlanta?
The crawl up the steps of the Capitol?
When we shut down the Department of Justice?
Had a photo-op with the Oak Ridge Boys in Tennessee?
Marched through a snow storm in Columbus?
Took over the Governor's office in Memphis?
Crawled under the police cars Hubert H Humphry Health and Human Services
building?
We want everyone that has been on an ADAPT action or supported us to join us
for this historical Free Our People March & Rally at the Capitol.
It will be a reunion never to be forgotten!!!!!
20 years of civil rights activism and celebration of our will to live and
thrive!
WE WILL RIDE
