We will peacefully protest Bain Capital on
August 30th which is the day that Mitt Romney will give his acceptance
speech at the Republican National Convention in Tampa, FL. We will use this
opportunity to protest and raise awareness about Bain Capitals business
practices. Hopefully this will pressure Bain Capital to behave
ethically. |

Court orders Occupy Hong Kong to leave
HSBC Occupy Central in Hong Kong, one of the last outposts of the global
protests sparked by the Occupy Wall Street movement, has been ordered to clear
its encampment outside one of the world's largest banks. For ten months,
protestors have gathered at HSBC's headquarters in the heart of Hong Kong's
financial district to air their grievances against corporate greed and social
inequality

Occupy May Day
underway Thousands of protesters gathered in Taksim Square in Istanbul
for May Day protests, which have resulted in fatal violence in the
past. Occupy San Francisco got an early start on May Day, kicking off
its organized protest at 8 p.m. local time on April 30. Early Tuesday
morning, protesters -- including Occupiers, labor unions, and community and
religious organizations -- were picketing against unfair labor practices at
Los Angeles International Airport, according to Occupywallst.org. May
Day protests were also held in Greece and Turkey.

Occupy activists to march across Brooklyn Bridge
Occupy Wall Street protesters are planning to march across
the Brooklyn Bridge to mark six months since hundreds of them were arrested
walking the same route. The activists are expected to meet Sunday afternoon at
Manhattan's Zuccotti Park, where they first camped out last September to start
a movement that has spread around the world.

In September they began to gather, their encampment growing
by the week. The police, confronted with a populist movement that put down
roots in the financial district, were unsure of how to respond to Occupy Wall
Street. At some marches, protesters were arrested for veering off the sidewalk
into the street; at others, the police ordered protesters off the sidewalk.

Communication Workers of America, and AFSC began occupying the AT&T
Headquarters in Atlanta "and are refusing to leave until every single job cut
is rescinded." Simultaneously, an occupation with tents is being set up outside
of the building. A General Assembly will be held at 7pm EST at 675 West
Peachtree St! There will also be a rally outside the building tomorrow, so be
